If you're an experienced caregiver who takes pride in doing the job right, we'd love to meet you. We're especially interested in caregivers with high-end private-duty experience and those with mental health or behavioral health backgrounds — both fit well with the clients and families we serve across San Diego County.

Pay & Benefits

• $18.25 – $25.00/hr — your rate reflects your experience and credentials

Where This Can Lead

This is a real career, not a stopgap. Caregivers here move from Caregiver to Senior Caregiver, and from there into Client Care, Scheduling, or Sales — depending on your strengths and what you want next. We've had caregivers make every one of those transitions. Stay a caregiver if that's your calling. If it's not, there's somewhere to go.

What You'll Do

• Provide compassionate, dependable in-home care for seniors
• Assist with personal care, hygiene, mobility, and transfers
• Offer medication reminders, prepare meals, and assist with light housekeeping
• Provide transportation to appointments and errands as needed
• Provide companionship and emotional support, including for clients living with dementia, anxiety, depression, or other cognitive or behavioral health conditions
• Observe and report changes in client condition, and communicate clearly with the care team

Required

• Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a background check
• Authorized to work in the United States
• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred

• 1+ years of professional caregiving experience (3+ years required for top pay tiers)
• CNA, HHA, or home health aide certification
• CPR/First Aid certification
• Experience supporting clients with dementia, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, anxiety, depression, or other cognitive or behavioral health conditions
• Experience caring for clients in high-end or private estate settings, with demonstrated professionalism and discretion

Service Area

Comfort Keepers serves seniors throughout San Diego County, including: Carlsbad, Chula Vista, Clairemont, College Area, Del Mar, Downtown, Encinitas, Escondido, Hillcrest, Kensington, La Jolla, La Mesa, Mira Mesa, Oceanside, Poway, Rancho Santa Fe, Solana Beach, Vista, and surrounding communities. Travel to one or more areas may be required.
