Comfort Keepers® in Farmington, Michigan Apply Now

You are applying for work with a Comfort Keepers franchisee, not CK Franchising, Inc. or any of its affiliates. If hired, the franchisee will be your only employer. Franchisees are independent business owners who set their own wage and benefit programs that can vary among franchisees.

Most sales jobs reward the close. This one rewards relationships.

As a Care Advisor at Comfort Keepers, you'll build the referral partnerships that connect families in our community with the home care they need, and you'll stay with those families through the journey. Your success is measured not just by new client starts, but by clients who thrive throughout their tenure as clients. That's a different kind of sales role — and it attracts a different kind of person. We hope that person is you!

We do things a little bit differently at Comfort Keepers. Many of our competitors have one or two people who wear all the hats in the office - from sales to HR to scheduling to training and client care. We believe that specialization and the freedom to focus deeply on a specific role deliver maximum returns and make for happier, more productive employees, so we hire people who are the best at what they do, and we empower them to shine! Bring your sales and customer relationship skills and we'll give you the stage to shine, with limitless potential for earning.

We have fervent passion for excellence and a team that's ready to jump through hoops to deliver an exceptional client experience. There's never a dull moment and we hit our share of speed bumps along the way, but there's a palpable drive to deliver a quality customer experience. We go the extra mile and make the extra accommodations, and all of that makes your job easier and more rewarding.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Referral Relationship Development

  • Build and manage a territory of active referral accounts: hospital discharge planners, skilled nursing/rehab social workers, senior living directors, geriatric care managers, VA case managers, elder law attorneys, financial advisors, and more.
  • Conduct 15–25 in-person account visits per week to deepen relationships and generate consistent referral volume.
  • Deliver lunch-and-learns and in-services at referral partner locations.

Client Consultation & Conversion

  • Conduct in-home consultations with prospective clients and families — assess needs, present service options, and guide families from first call to signed agreement.
  • Build customized care proposals and clearly articulate what sets Comfort Keepers apart.
  • Manage the client through the pre-start period, ensuring a smooth handoff to operations.
  • Follow up at 30, 60, and 90 days to assess satisfaction and identify opportunities to expand care.

Pipeline & Territory Management

  • Log all activity in CRM within 24 hours and maintain a current, accurate picture of your pipeline.
  • Deliver weekly territory updates to the General Manager with visit counts, referrals, starts, and 30/60/90-day projections.
  • Identify dormant accounts and execute re-engagement strategies.

Community Presence

  • Represent Comfort Keepers at health fairs, senior expos, and community events at least twice per month.
  • Grow your professional network and maintain a visible presence on LinkedIn.

On-Call Rotation

  • Participate in the after-hours on-call rotation shared among the care team — evenings and weekends on a scheduled, rotating basis. Approximately 5–7 days per month.
  • We have remote scheduling team members who serve as the first layer of support, tending to most issues between 6am–10pm, seven days per week.
  • When on call, you’ll be responsible for working with the remote team to respond to urgent after-hours situations: caregiver call-outs, last-minute schedule gaps, client or family emergencies, and safety concerns that can’t wait until morning.
  • Arrange emergency coverage by contacting available caregivers, coordinating with the on-call scheduler, and keeping the client and family informed throughout. In extremely rare cases, you may need to fill in at the client’s home to cover a gap in care.
  • Use sound judgment to triage situations — resolving what you can independently, and escalating to the GM when a situation warrants it.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required:

  • 2+ years of outside sales, community liaison, or business development experience — healthcare, home care, or senior services strongly preferred. B2C sales and strong closing experience in a relationship-driven service business strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record of building referral relationships and meeting or exceeding volume targets
  • Confident and consultative in face-to-face settings with both clinical partners and families
  • Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce, WellSky/Viv, or similar) and comfortable working with technology such as laptops and tablets. Bonus points if you're comfortable with Apple/Mac devices.
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable personal vehicle — significant local travel is a daily requirement. Office location is Howell, and your assigned territory will include all of Livingston County, as well as South Lyon and Milford.
  • Exceptional self-direction and time management; this role operates largely in the field
  • Willingness to participate in the on-call rotation (approx. 5 days per month) and step up to be a team player in exceptional circumstances - we are, after all, a small but mighty, growing team.
  • Fluent in English, able to ambulate independently, able to lift/push/pull up to 25 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Able to pass criminal, motor vehicle, and drug screening.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, health administration, or related field
  • Prior experience in home care, hospice, skilled nursing, or assisted living sales
  • Established relationships in the local healthcare referral community
  • Familiarity with VA home care benefits, long-term care insurance, elder care grant programs

WHO THRIVES HERE

You're persistent without being pushy. You're genuinely warm with families navigating a difficult moment. You're disciplined about follow-through — no lead forgotten, no visit left unlogged. You take personal ownership of your territory and bring solutions, not problems. You have the hustle to go the extra mile and a good sense of humor to keep things in perspective. You have integrity and want to take care of people & do right by them. You're bright, kind, adaptable, empathetic, and willing to find the fun amidst the chaos.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Base Salary: $50,000–$60,000
  • Total Target Compensation: $85,000–$100,000+ (uncapped bonus potential)
  • Transportation: Vehicle stipend or company vehicle with gas card — at company's discretion

SCHEDULE & WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Primarily field-based with 2–3 partial days/week in the office for team meetings and coordination. Office location is Farmington, and your assigned territory will include surrounding areas.
  • Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5pm with flexibility for business needs
  • Occasional evening or weekend events (health fairs, community functions, prospective client consultations)
  • Clear expectations and accountability for KPIs.
  • High degree of autonomy — this role is built for self-starters who are able to execute and also appreciate being backed by a solid, passionate team.
