Personal Care Assistant – Granbury, TX

Comfort Keepers is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and attentive caregiver to provide personalized in-home support for a senior client in Granbury, Texas.

The client values her independence and would benefit from a caregiver who can provide assistance while respecting her preferences and encouraging her to continue doing what she can safely manage on her own. The ideal candidate is patient, observant, and comfortable assisting a senior with occasional memory difficulties and daily routines.

Following a recent fall, personal care assistance has been added to the care plan. The caregiver will help maintain a safe and comfortable environment while supporting the client's independence, mobility, and overall well-being.

Work Schedule

• Monday: 8:00 AM–11:00 AM and 4:30 PM–7:30 PM
• Tuesday: 4:30 PM–7:30 PM
• Wednesday: 8:00 AM–11:00 AM and 4:30 PM–7:30 PM
• Friday: 8:00 AM–11:00 AM and 4:30 PM–7:30 PM
• Saturday: 8:00 AM–11:00 AM and 4:30 PM–7:30 PM

Location: Client's home in Granbury, TX 76048

Applicants must be available for the scheduled shifts, including the morning and evening shifts on Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.

Compensation and Support

• $15.50–$17.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
• Paid training and orientation
• Biweekly pay through direct deposit

Responsibilities

The caregiver will provide assistance based on the client's individualized care plan. Duties include:

• Assisting with personal care and activities of daily living as needed
• Encouraging independence and respecting the client's routines and preferences
• Checking on the client periodically to help ensure safety rather than providing continuous standby monitoring when it is not needed
• Providing appropriate mobility assistance and helping reduce fall risks
• Reminding and assisting the client with exercises prescribed by her physical therapist during the evening shifts, as directed by the care plan
• Preparing meals and encouraging regular hydration
• Providing medication reminders in accordance with agency policies and the care plan
• Performing light housekeeping to maintain a clean and comfortable home
• Offering companionship and engaging the client in meaningful daily activities
• Assisting with outdoor walks and activities when appropriate and safe
• Providing transportation to appointments, errands, and outings as needed
• Helping the client maintain her usual routines, including activities around the home where chickens are kept
• Observing and reporting changes in the client's condition, memory, mobility, or safety to the appropriate care team

Qualifications

Qualified applicants should have:

• At least one year of professional caregiving experience preferred
• Experience assisting seniors with personal care and daily living activities
• Patience and understanding when working with clients who experience short-term memory difficulties
• The ability to encourage independence while recognizing when assistance is needed
• A valid driver's license
• Reliable transportation and current auto insurance
• The ability to assist with safe mobility and follow care instructions
• Strong observation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• A dependable, compassionate, and safety-conscious approach to caregiving
• Willingness to complete required training and onboarding
